This winter, renew a classic Vancouver tradition and enjoy some old-fashioned fun. Robson Square’s outdoor skating rink is open, so celebrate winter in style with skating in the heart of downtown Vancouver. It’s a magical place to enjoy the winter season with your friends, family and loved ones.

 

NEW – Destination Downtown at Robson Square

There’s something Downtown for everyone to enjoy this winter! New for the 2025-26 winter season is an enhanced experience at the iconic Robson Square Ice Rink, where performers and artists will dazzle skaters on select evenings.

Skate rental ends 30 minutes prior to close.

Group Skating

Groups of 15 or more are welcome at Robson Square, but we recommend contacting us in advance so that we can help ensure your group outing is a success.

 

BE COOL & SAFE

We strongly recommend the use of a CSA approved helmet while skating.
A fall on the ice can result in SERIOUS HEAD INJURY.

Helmets are mandatory for everyone 12 years and under.

 

As a condition of skating at the Robson Square Ice Rink, you agree to waive certain rights as per our
RELEASE OF LIABILITY, WAIVER OF CLAIMS AND ASSUMPTION OF RISKS AGREEMENT.
Signage to this effect is posted at each entrance to the ice rink.

Rules for Safer Skating

FOR THE SAFETY AND ENJOYMENT OF ALL, ICE RINK USERS MUST COMPLY WITH THE FOLLOWING RULES:

• A fall on the ice can result in SERIOUS HEAD INJURIES – Robson Square Ice Rink provides skating helmets FREE OF CHARGE. Please see skate rental staff for more information.
• Children in strollers and people in wheelchairs must wear helmets; attendants must wear skates or grips (available at the skate rental)
• Permitted footwear limited to skates or grips.
• Forward skating only with the flow of traffic.
• Figure skating and hockey are not permitted.
• No reckless skating.
• Children must be supervised by an adult.
• Do not carry children or infants on the ice.
• No earphones or cellphone use permitted on the ice.
• Do not sit on the rink railing
• No food, beverages, umbrellas or pets on the ice.
• Smoking, vaping, and the use of any tobacco or cannabis products are strictly prohibited on the ice and within the rink area.

SKATING IS INHERENTLY RISKY. Please enjoy the Robson Square Ice Rink facilities and equipment AT YOUR OWN RISK.

 

Theme Nights
Feb. 4 – 25, 2026

Join us for theme nights at the Robson Square Ice Rink each Wednesday from Feb. 4 to 25, 2025, 5:00pm until 9:00pm. The music and lighting will match each theme to create a fun night for all ages. Participants dressed according to the theme will be eligible for a complimentary hot chocolate.
