School Program

On Friday, December 1st, 2017, British Columbia’s favourite outdoor ice rink will open again for three months of skating. We’d like your school to be part of the fun!

As part of our Robson Square school program, we’d like to invite Grade 4-7 students and teachers from your school to join us for a free skate at Robson Square. Last year, more than 75 school groups and 4,350 students participated in the school skating program funded by the Province. We are once again offering that opportunity this year. We will provide free skating as well as skate rentals and helmets. Your class can also sign up for a free 20 minute skating lesson at the beginning of your session. Here, rink instructors will teach your students basic skating skills and safety tips.

We are currently in the process of booking school groups for skating field trips and need your help in getting this opportunity into the hands of your teachers. The rink can be booked for school groups on school days during the following time slots:

  • 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM
  • 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM
  • 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM

While there is no cost for your school to skate at Robson Square, classes are responsible for their own transportation to and from the rink. We encourage schools to book their trips as soon as possible.

To book a class trip to Robson Square please contact us 604 646-3557 or

Note: School groups are encouraged to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to their time slot to allow for skate and helmet fitting. Skates and a helmet will be provided, although students may bring their own if they wish.

We look forward to hearing from you soon.
